‘One Day’ first look: Into each romance a little rain must fall
One Day could be called the British answer to When Harry Met Sally…. It charts the course of a friendship that teeters on the verge of courtship over the span of 20 years, which begins at a University of Edinburgh graduation in 1988.
Except we get to catch up with Dexter and Emma on the same day each time: July 15, or St. Swithin’s Day, which is to predicting rainfall in England what Groundhog Day is to estimating winter’s duration.
